The Process
When you first come in to Thompson Dental for an assessment, Dr. Sean Thompson will take a look at your mouth and talk to you about your denture options. We will take impressions of your bite, so we can start creating your new smile.
For implant-supported dentures, we need to ensure that you have a healthy jaw bone density. Dental implants need a secure foundation, so if your jaw needs a regrowth period, we can talk to you about bone grafting.
PLACEMENT
We place all implants right here in our office! This means we won’t refer you to an outside surgeon when you are ready for your implants. For more information about our procedure, see our dental implants page.
During your implant procedure, we’ll do everything we can to make you comfortable. Your implant placement should be a wonderful experience, and we can provide amenities that help you have a more pleasant dental experience.
Once your implants have been placed, you may need some time for the bone to fuse with the implant posts. This allows your jaw to restrengthen and provides added stability for your dentures.
When we place your dentures, our team will make sure they fit well. You should be able to bite down comfortably so you can eat and speak without worrying about slipping or sliding. You can walk out of our office with a beautiful new smile!
