Step 1: Your dentist will begin treatment by numbing your tooth and surrounding gums with a local anesthetic. This will help prevent pain and discomfort during your treatment.

Step 2: Then, once your mouth is numb, [heshe] will cut the gums and pull them away from the tooth. This will expose the roots of the tooth and the surrounding bone.

Step 3: When appropriate, your dentist will remove the gum tissue from your mouth. If necessary, [heshe] will also remove bone from the roots of the tooth. This process will be done using a combination of hand instruments and rotary instruments.

Step 4: Once enough of the tooth structure has been exposed, your dentist will deeply clean and irrigate the area with sterile salt water.

Step 5: Finally, your dentist will stitch the gums back together to give you a beautiful and healthy smile.
